NSW: Man dead, another wounded after suspected knife fight

SYDNEY, Dec 10 AAP - One man is dead and another in hospital after what police suspect
was a knife fight in Sydney's west.

Police said officers were called to a service station on the Great Western Highway
at St Marys about 7am (AEDT) where a 21-year-old man was suffering from stab wounds.

He was rushed to hospital, where he was this morning in a stable condition.

After police spoke to him, officers attended a nearby unit block and found the body
of another man in the building's stairwell.

He had also suffered stab wounds, which investigators believe were the result a knife
fight, a police spokeswoman said.

Police have established crime scenes at the locations and were continuing their investigation.
